This month has started off slower than I would have liked. I’ve begun to plateau on my weight loss, so tonight I began walking and hope to continue every night for the foreseeable future. I ended up walking 4.41 miles in 1:08:28 for an average pace of 15:38 minutes per mile. I’m going to adjust my route slightly to make it an even 5 miles and my goal by the end of February is a to get to a 14 minute mile on average. I’m a bit behind on my goals of reading one business or self-improvement book every week (I haven’t yet even started one) and on my goal of building one passive-income generating web site this month (although I do have one in the pipeline). I’ve been extremely busy with the launch of my IT consulting firm and reducing the “clutter” in our lives. I’m hoping to make these updates a weekly thing, so check back next week for more news.

I’ve got to admit, 2011 has been a challenging year. In late 2010 I returned from Iraq to take care of my wife who needed a knee operation and I’ve been home and jobless ever since. We also sold our house in Appleton, WI and moved 1,359 miles to Celebration, FL. My wife was also involved in an accident that totaled our second vehicle. But, with all of that behind us, I’ve recently started an IT consulting firm as well as joined the ViSalus organization as an Independent Distributor. Wth the help of friends and family, things are looking EXTREMELY good for the coming year. I’m not big on New Year’s resolutions, but here is the list of my goals for 2012:
1. Lose 90 lbs. to reach my goal weight of 175 lbs. (with the help of ViSalus)
2. Be able to run 5 miles non-stop
3. Bring in $250,000 gross through my IT consulting firm
4. Pay off all debts (including vehicle & student loans)
5. Read one business or self-improvement book every week
6. Build one passive-income generating web site every month
I plan on using this web site as a kind of accountability tool, and will track my progress towards each of these goals on this site.
Welcome to my new personal web site. After having multiple personal sites over the years, I’ve decided to start the new year with a fresh new site with all new content. Check back often, I plan on updating at least 2-3 times every week.
